Nortel Java Device Manager (JDM) is a cross-platform, Java-based application from Nortel designed to configure and monitor Nortel network devices. It provides a consistent graphical interface for discovering devices, performing initial setup, adjusting port settings, creating and managing VLANs, configuring link aggregation and spanning tree, and applying QoS and security policies, depending on device capabilities. Administrators can view real-time status, traffic and error counters, and event logs, as well as back up, restore, and upgrade device software and configurations using standards-based methods. JDM can run as a standalone utility or be launched from a device’s embedded web interface, making it practical for day-to-day tasks without a full network management suite. Because it is written in Java, it operates on multiple desktop platforms with a compatible Java Runtime Environment. It remains a useful tool for maintaining and supporting legacy Nortel networking equipment.

Nortel Java Device Manager is developed by Nortel. The most popular version of this product among our users is 1.0.
